Watch Gastroenterology began in February 2000 in a newsletter format,
reviewing the gastroenterology literature for busy clinicians.
The six-member physician Editorial
Board prepares concise summaries of the most important research
appearing in the gastroenterology literature.
The summaries are derived from the close
reading of the original research, strenuous fact-checking, and clear,
concise editing. The editors then include their expert commentary at the end
of each summary, putting the research into perspective for practicing
clinicians.
The 27 journals covered by the Journal Watch
Gastroenterology editors include general medical as well as gastroenterology
journals in order to provide a broad range of coverage.
