J ournal
Watch Infectious Diseases began in February 1998 in a newsletter format,
reviewing the infectious disease literature for busy clinicians.
The ten-member physician Editorial Board
prepares concise summaries of the most important research appearing in the
infectious disease literature.
The summaries are derived from the close
reading of the original research, strenuous fact-checking, and clear,
concise editing. The editors then include their expert commentary at the end
of each summary, putting the research into perspective for practicing
clinicians.
The 41 journals covered by the Journal Watch
Infectious Diseases editors include general medical as well as infectious
disease journals in order to provide a broad range of coverage.
