J ournal
Watch Psychiatry began in February 1995 in a newsletter format, reviewing
the psychiatry literature for busy clinicians.
The eight-member physician Editorial Board
prepares concise summaries of the most important research appearing in the
psychiatry literature.
The summaries are derived from the close
reading of the original research, strenuous fact-checking, and clear,
concise editing. The editors then include their expert commentary at the end
of each summary, putting the research into perspective for practicing
clinicians.
The 53 journals covered by the Journal Watch
Psychiatry editors include general medical as well as psychiatry journals in
order to provide a broad range of coverage.
